Use Jellyfin on Tesla with NexlaTV

Use your Jellyfin server address and library permissions to browse a personal collection on the larger screen.

Check the address and user

Open Jellyfin’s Web interface first. Use the server’s full address, including a configured base URL such as /jellyfin. A user must be allowed to access the libraries you want; separate users can see different collections.

Add and browse

  1. In NexlaTV, open Media sources → Add media source → Jellyfin.
  2. Enter the server address and Jellyfin credentials, then Connect.
  3. Choose a real library in Browse. Multiple libraries of the same type remain separate.
  4. Open a series to select a season and episode. In video libraries, open folders when the server exposes directory navigation.

Empty libraries and missing covers

Open the same library with the same user in Jellyfin. Check library permissions and whether the server has indexed the files. If covers are missing in both interfaces, review the artwork stored for those resources.

Playback requirements

Test one supported video from the viewing device. Authentication success does not guarantee that the browser supports every codec or can reach the media URL. NexlaTV does not add its own transcoding service. Read compatibility.
