Use Emby on Tesla with NexlaTV

Connect your Emby server, choose a permitted library and browse movies or episodes in NexlaTV.

Before connecting

Check that you can sign in to Emby’s own Web interface with the intended account. That account determines which libraries and watch states NexlaTV can read. Copy the full server address, including any base path.

Add Emby

  1. Open Media sources and choose Add media source → Emby.
  2. Enter a recognizable name, server URL and Emby username and password.
  3. For HTTP addresses, review the unencrypted connection warning. Choose Connect.
  4. In Browse, select the library you want. Open a movie or select a series, season and episode.

Why does my library look different?

Check the same account and library in Emby’s Web interface. Confirm library permissions, then compare the title, season and episode. If artwork is missing there too, check the resource metadata in Emby.

Away from home

A private home address may not be reachable from your car’s network. Use a securely configured address reachable by the service and the viewing browser. Do not disable server authentication. For format and HTTPS issues, see compatibility.
